Due to the Corona virus and pursuant to Supreme Court Order the Kenton County Justice Center is CLOSED to all in-person services until after May 31, 2020. Some emergency hearings and filings are still being permitted. Contact your attorney or our office to determine what date your case will be held. All bonds are being posted at the Kenton Co Detention Center 3000 Decker Crane Ln. Covington, KY 41017. We are still working on e-filings, mail, on-line payments and are accept documents at a box in front of the Justice Center (no cash or original wills please). You may still transact business in this manner. Additionally the Governor has CLOSED Drivers License until further notice. Driver Testing is cancelled until further notice. The Governor has extended the expiration of the all licenses and ID’s for a period of 90 days. We are receiving word that calls are being received allegedly from our phone number requesting payment of overdue fines. We do not call people to take fines over the phone! If you receive a call please phone us back at 859-292-6523. Sheriff fees have increased effective June 27, 2019 to $60 per service. County Clerk fees increased January 1, 2020. Please contact their office about their fee increases. Kenton County is now accepting electronic filing of Small Claims cases from all parties, including non-attorneys.
